A bus trip will be organized on Saturday, April 20th, 2024 (departure 8:00 – estimated return 19:00). The trip will include a visit to the largest salt mine in Europe (Slănic Prahova), and a stopover to one of the most renowned wineries situated on the wine road Dealu Mare, accompanied by a wine tasting.

 

Located in the south of Romania, the Dealu Mare Vineyards stretch across the counties of Prahova and Buzau. It is the most compact and largest wine growing area in Romania. The area is divided into 8 DOC centers.

 

The beginnings of the history of the Slănic salt mine date back to around 1685. The maximum depth of the mine is 217 m, and the total area of the mine is approximately 80,000 m2. The height of a hall is 70 m, and the circuit runs around the enormous pillar that supports the mine.

 

The option for trip participation must be checked in the registration form. Note that a limited number of places are available for this trip.
